Why do AIL alarms occur with viscous infusions?
Cooler solutions contain more dissolved air, which forms bubbles when the liquid warms to room temperature—triggering alarms.

What can you do?
Let refrigerated drugs reach room temperature (approx. 2 hours) before infusion, and always infuse at room temp.
