Biologic therapies such as immunoglobulins and monoclonal antibodies depend on a precise molecular structure, raising the question of whether the mechanical action of infusion could affect drug integrity. This technical bulletin summarizes laboratory testing of a representative human IgG antibody infused through the Sapphire™ and Avoset™ pumps at 10 mL/h and 300 mL/h, including up to four consecutive passages as a worst-case exposure. Under all conditions tested, no detectable fragmentation or aggregation was observed.
